Ted: I wound up replacing the original coupling caps with values about 10
times the original. I also checked the plate supply bypass caps; turns out
there was a LOT of audio flying around on the B+ leads. Upping the value of
those got rid of that. I left the LP filter in after the clipper (even
though I got rid of the clipper) because I really didn't want the rig to be
putting out much beyond 3,000 Hz. The rig is essentially flat now from 100
Hz up to 3,000 Hz or so. It appears that lack of iron in the modulation
transformer limits the low-frequency response beyond that.
That's my tale, for what it's worth...

HAVE A QUESTION!!!Im trying to improve audio so I have some low frequency
to mid range. Right now there are no low's at all.Using a stock D104 no
preamp.Some one mentioned coupling capacitors but what voltage would I get
