I agree that eliminating CW will destroy amateur radio. Aviation, for 
example, was totally destroyed once they said aircraft pilots no longer had 
to learn to navigate at night by fire beacons. That allowed all sorts of 
rabble to get licenses.

Even worse, they eliminated the requirement to pass exams on proper 
operation of dirigibles. You never know when you might have an emergency and 
you would have to pilot an airpship!
