Back in the late 1940s Collins sold the PTO that was
used in the 32V series for use with other brands of
transmitters. It had a "funky" dial that was a "fan
type" instead of a slide rule for the coarse reading.
It did have a circular dial that was calibrated in
KHz.
The VFO actually operated on 1.6 MHz to 2.0 MHz and
then was calibrated for harmonics on the other bands.
I used to have one (may still have it somewhere up in
the attic).
