   Does not load with - low plate current - or - uncontrollable plate 
current?

    If the first, no drive on 160/80 I might look to the VFO first, then 
the multiplier tank circuits, since it seems the multiplier is working on 
the other bands.

    If the second - perhaps the capacitor stack in the final tank for those 
two bands have gone to that Great Scrapyard in the Sky....

   If this is so - does the rig work on (gasp...!) 11 meters?  the 
'escapement' is of course common to that band as well.


   Just some thoughts - you do have the manual/schematics I assume? If not 
they're readily available on BAMA and elsewhere.
