[Johnson] Grid current

Sounds like no oscillation on those two bands....

I'm new to the Johnson designs.  Does the VFO oscillate on the fundamental 
frequency or is it mixed with another local oscillator?   One of the two 
don't want to oscillate on those two bands...

Strange thing happened to my Viking Valiant.  It was operating beautifully 
on all bands.  Now it will not load on 160 or 80 meters.  By that I mean 
that I cannot get any real grid current on those bands.  Works fine on 
40,20,15,10.

VFO switch is being mechanically activated OK by the band switch.  No broken 
wires to the large coil.

Need some help fast
