I have yet to find a transmitter that was designed for
the 6146 / 6146A that doesn't like the 6293.  Back in
the late 1950s and early 1960s we would almost "kill"
to get 6293 tubes.  They usually last several time
longer than even the "normal" 6146 / 6146A / 8298
series.
