Well the final adjustments on my Viking II have come to a screeching halt. 
Turns
out I didn't luck out this Viking HATES 6146B's I was doing the initial 
settings
prior to setting R13,the voltage divider,and the clamp circuit, and the one 
or both
of the 6146B went to town.  This time I know it was the tubes everything 
else checks
out. I'll order some 6293's and I should be done....famous last words.
