Ken,
Since you've changed over to 6146Bs, you might want to check the screen
voltage. It appears that the screen voltage requirement for these tubes
was not the same as was used on the 6146/6146A. NJ7P's web site shows
150 volts for the 6146/6146A, as opposed to 175 volts for a "B" (both at
600 volts on the plate). Someone with the RCA transmitting tube manual
should be able to confirm this....
