Does this happen only when the rig is keyed and drawing normal plate
current or in standby? If it happens in standby, then your clamper
circuit would be very suspect. If it only happens when the rig is
keyed, it could be the caps or, as kwylow zinjanthropus suggested, a
parasitic. I'm not a Valiant expert, but in some rigs the version of
6146 used can make a big difference. The manual calls for plain 6146's.
You don't happen to have 6146B's in there do you?
