[Johnson] Ranger VFO coupling

Jerry,
You can reach the set screws for the VFO coupling from beneath the chassis.
The is a 3/8's or so hole that will allow a thin screwdriver access to the
set screws.

You can't remove the VFO shield until you take the coupling off.
Remove the side shield.
Remove the top shield
Remove all nuts from the spade lugs on the rest of the shield.
The bolts that hold the spade lugs to the shield are a very tight fit to the
phenolic boards in the VFO compartment.
You will be able to pull the shield about half-way up.  Gently, work the
shield around the boards to remove.


I just took my Ranger apart.  It should be a lot of fun putting it back
together.
