[Johnson] More Ranger adventures

Cal,
I'm also trying to resurrect a Ranger.
As I dig in I find more problems. Besides the bad capacitors, cold solder
joints and questionable MODS, the VFO coil mounts were loose and the meter
shield was hammered into an oval.
This is just a preliminary assesment. The WX is too nice for full time work
on the Ranger. As the WX changes to fall I will start to really take it
apart.

Has anyone tried the Plastic polish from Antique Radio to fix scratches on
the dial?
