[Johnson] Wandering Valiant II

All: I have noticed that the VFO in my Valiant II pulls when tuning up on
160 and 40 m (where the output band is the same as the VFO fundamental).  I
have swapped the oscillator tube and the buffer and made the usual voltage
and resistance checks.  Screen voltage on the buffer seems quite low (85
volts vs. 145 called out in the Johnson manual), but the screen resistor and
screen bypass appear OK.  Plate voltage is where it should be.  Grid bias on
the buffer is low (-4 volts vs. -6 in the manual).

VFO regulator tube appears to be working, and the 18K VFO regulator resistor
has already been replaced by someone else.

There's probably lots of other places to look for a problem like this, but
I'd like to hear from the pros before I go mucking around much more.
