The last two EFJ directional couplers I've opened up had fried resistors
inside, that had been overheated to the point of being either open or
grossly out of tolerance. I'd look in there and check them first. Seems I
recall they were two watt carbon 1%'s. Might be a bit hard to find the real
thing, but at any rate be sure to use non-inductive replacements.
