[Johnson] Johnson External SWR Meter

I have a Johnson Directional Coupler and Indicator which will indicate only
about 40% of full scale in "calibrate" mode.  In SWR mode, it indicates an
SWR proportionate to the full power indication.  The original meter was worn
out and I have a new 100 ua meter from AES.  Esthetically, it won't do in
the long run, but it allows me to try the thing out.

Does anyone have experience with these units?   I've replaced the caps.  How
about the diodes?  They are 1N294's, which Radio Shack doesn't seem to have.

As I said, it seems to be working, it just won't give me a full scale
calibration with my Ranger at about 50 watts out.
