I've replaced quite a few of R-35 over the years, in many Rangers 
( mine and other peoples ). These are commonly available at Allied 
Radio and other such suppliers. They are not as expensive as you 
might think.

one note. You only want to tighten up the tap enough to secure it 
in place. Don't over tighten it. That resistor gets REAL hot and 
if that tap is too tight, that is where it will burn and/or crack.
I learned this the
hard way, you don't need too LOL
