This is very true ... but not only am I speaking of the inefficiency of
the process but the lousy audio punch low level modulation produces. There
has never been nor will ever be a low level modulated transmitter which
will cut throug interference like a high level plate modulated transmitter.
The price for a Ranger I and a T-Bolt will allow you to buy a GOOD high
level AM transmitter. Heck ... you can get a 1 KW AM broadcast transmitter
for less than the T-Bolt ... If you've the room.=20
Incidently, you are correct about the transmitter names. Senior citizen
moment I would guess. Anyhow, these are readly available. I have seen
several of these transmitters for about $500 ... which is less than a
T-Bolt is going for.=20
