You have to remember that under 100% modulation, the
carrier cannot exceed 375 watts output these days to
meet the 1500 watts PEP limitations.  This is a far
cry from the days when you could run 1000 watts input,
which, on 75 meters, could mean 3000 watts or more PEP
output.
