[Johnson] Johnson 215 business band radio

I have a Johnson 215 business band radio (25 to 30 mhz model). I need a
factory
service manual for this radio. I have the operators manual with
schematic(albeit
a poor copy). I need more info on two items. One being the correct way to
neutralize
the final because I get good output, but a terrible oscillation along with
it. The
other being on the Rx side, the rx crystal does not want to oscillate were
it should
and I need to know the freq. mixing scheme and what the trimmer coil next to
the crystal
actually does? The book says operating frequency minus 455kc, but that seems
high for a
fundamental crystal and I need to know if it's actually multiplied??
BTW, this is going on 29.000.
