Thanks for all the replies. On closer inspection, the metal plate the meter
is mounted on appears to be home made as the corners are not quite uniform.
also in better light the color is actually more of a dark gray. I guess in
the dim light before, I was seeing what I wanted to. ;<) Also the meter is
identical to the one in my KW matchbox. It appears under close scrutiny that
the all clear plastic meter cover has been painted to appear as though it is
gray plastic with a clear insert to view the meter. it was good enough to
fool me until I took it outside to look in good light. I have seen meters
that this one looks like, but I can't remember on what equipment. I think I
will look for an appropriate looking case to mount the meter in.
Thanks again,
ken W7TS

Subject: [Johnson] SWR bridge
Hello,
I was hoping someone could help me identify something I acquired recently.
first is apparently new in a box marked "SWR Bridge 250-24". Inside is a
coupler and an instruction sheet. separately is a meter "directional coupler
indicator" 250-38 with two controls mounted on a piece of Johnson dark
(burgundy ) perforated metal with wire attached to connect to the coupler.
Is this an add on accessory for some transmitter or antenna tuner?
Thanks,
Ken W7TS
