I am not familiar with the Adventurer, but:
The original ones were very likely two 350 volt electrolyitics in series, 
withOUT the recommended voltage equalizing caps.

I suggest you do this:

1) Check the surge voltage on the caps.. that is the highest voltage that 
occurs at turn-on and at no-load.
2) If you discover it is much more than the 500 volts rating of the caps 
from Antique electronics, do install two caps in series WITH equalizing 
resistors. Use resistors that will draw 3 to 5 ma.  Use two caps of 16 uF 
or more (20 uF would be fine.)

3) Do not use caps above their rating.
4) Do not put caps in series without voltage equalizing resistors.
