the viking 2 is a good transmitter.
but as built they wont modulate 100+ACU- about about 70 watts.
the problem is the driver transformer..
these are generally changed out with an interstage transformer sold by
Antique Electronic Supply, of Tempe AZ/
somebody know the item number ?
they can also supply the capacitors you need.
If memory serves.. that 1000 v 8uf capacitor is an oil filled unit..
if so, it will not need replacement unless it is leaking. they last
forever.
you will want to change some coupling and cathode bypass caps
slightly..so get some values for this before you buy the caps.
Get a can of De-Oxit D-5 from AES too.. and use it on all your switches.
and tube sockets.
