Dutch:
What are you using to measure power output of your Val? You didn't make that part clear (was it a watt meter)? Also, were you connected up to a dummy load?
A few years ago, K6RB (Rob Brownstein) wrote an article on the meter readings of his Valiant being to high or low (I forgot which). That didn't affect his power out, however. It annoyed him that he wasn't getting a correct reading on the front panel. Let us know and thanks.

carrier, I have put new 6146B tubes in it and still no change.
Rig will load to 150 watts with the Plate current running @ 400 mills but
the finals seem to be taking it OK and do not cherry when running it that
high.
I know that it should not be running that high but I wanted to get it
running to specs, I have checked the shunt resistor across the meter and it
is 5.1 Ohm's and everything looks normal, anyone have any ideas as to why
it's running so low???
BTW I know there is no difference on the other end of the QSO between 115
and 150 watts I just wanted it to run as it is supposed to, any ideas???

Thanks & 73's Dutch
