[Johnson] ranger problems

I may be posting late with this but I also had a problem with another
Ranger a few years back. It turned out the black cat caps associated
with this circuitry had gone bad (especially with the heat of the power
supply rectifier not helping thngs a bit. I ended up replacing these
caps and sho' 'nuff, the problem stopped (I used disc ceramics in place
of the cat). FYI. Cal, N6KYR,
