Oh, I just gotta dump my $.02 in on this one!

Many years ago, when I used to visit my Mother in Wilton, CT., the local Rat
Shack was staffed by a pair of idiots I quickly labeled as Dumb and Dumber.
It got to the point where I would drop in when I saw a lot of customers in
the store and listened to the "advice" these two were handing out. It was
better than the best night at the Improv!

One day, a customer came in and was having trouble with a certain network
channel on his TV set. After a lengthy explanation of how television works,
Dumber proceeded to tell this hapless fellow that the network cameras were
bad and always out of focus. That was all I could take. I butted into the
conversation and explained that I was an engineer for that network and that
the focus problem was between the idiot's ears. He turned blood red and
walked away. 'Nuf Said!

I have always refused to give these folks my address or zip code, just
telling them it was a cash sale. I have never had a problem with that, but
in some cases, I could see them grit theit teeth.

73 and Happy New Year to all.

John, W4AWM
