[Johnson] Johnson T/R switch TVI problems..?

For the DX-100 PTT: I would use a low-voltage DPDT
relay and control it with a "normal" type of foot
switch. That way you won't have any voltage problems
on the foot switch and the contacts on the relay
should be plenty heavy to handle the DX-100.
As far as the TR switch goes: I have never owned an
actual Johnson TR switch, but used a home brew
equivalent for some time back in the 1959 - 1961 time
frame. When used with a low-pass filter I never had
any problems with TVI and this was in a Channel 2
fringe area. That was with a DX-100 and a
Hallicrafters S-85.
