[JMS] Millen grid dipper question

Just acquired a Millen 90651 grid dipper. The coils have 2 pins but there
are 3 jacks on the dipper. The 3rd jack connects to the shield (ground).
I am wondering what applications/accessories might have used all 3 pins.
Also, is there an on-line manual/schematic available?
