Greetings all,
Just a friendly reminder for the 2m SSB net tomorrow night.
We are still meeting at 7:00pm local time, 23:00z, now that we are on
daylight savings time. I would be willing to push this out an hour or
two if it would work better for everyone. Now that spring is here, and
summer just around the corner, we want to make the net schedule work
with everyone as best we can. Would you prefer it to be later?
I would like to encourage everyone to make more contacts on 2m SSB. If
you hear someone else on the net you would like to work, just let me
know. I would be happy to standby while you call someone and move them
up or down the band. Or stick around after the net and make your calls
then. I'll help coordinate the contact, if you need me.
Is anyone actively collecting grid squares now? VUCC is a very
challenging award offered by the ARRL. Check out:
http://www.arrl.org
for details.
I've also been giving thought to a 6 meter SSB net. Is anyone
interested in a 6 meter net?
I'm planning to do a 2 meter FM Simplex net sometime soon, as well.
However, I want to make some antenna improvements before I kick this off.
In the mean time, I'm making plans for the VHF spring sprints, a
camping trip ./ portable expedition for the IN QSO Party in May, and it
will soon be time to gear up for the June ARRL VHF QSO Party. And then
Field Day!! So, what are you planning?
I would like to thank everyone for all of the encouragement and support
I have received over the past few weeks on the net. It really makes it
worthwhile. Now lets go make some contacts and stir up some activity:-)
