SUBJECT: W9CSJ KNOWN TO US ON CW AS BOB NOW SK

Bob/W9CSJ had been a member of our Indiana CW nets long as I can recall. It
is sad to lose another member of the Hoosier Team.

Paul R. Irons
MONON -- Paul R. "Bob" Irons, 85, 508 N. Holly St., died at 2:08 p.m.
Sunday, Oct. 13, 2002, in White County Memorial Hospital, Monticello. He had
been ill a week.

Born Jan. 29, 1917, in Monon, he was a lifelong Monon resident, graduating
from Monon High School in 1935.

He married Irene Fisher on Oct. 21, 1945, in Monon. She died Aug. 5.
Mr. Irons was a master sergeant in the Army Air Corps during World War II
from 1941 to 1945, serving in the Middle East and Africa. He was a retired
farmer. He was a former member and officer of North White High School board
in Monon; a member of North White High School Building and Trades Board in
Monon; and was a trustee of the Bedford Cemetery Association for 40 years.

He attended Monon United Methodist Church and was a member of American
Legion Post 319, Monon, and TARS Ham Radio Club.

Surviving is a sister, Florence Simmons (husband: Ned) of Ottawa, Ill.
