The 2002 Fort Wayne Hamfest & Computer Expo and the 2002 Indiana
State A.R.R.L. Convention will be held on November 16th and 17th at the
Allen County War Memorial Coliseum and Exposition Center, located at
4000 Parnell Avenue in Fort Wayne (at the corner of Parnell and
Coliseum Blvd). Click here to see a contact list of this years hamfest
general chairman and various managers.

A little history about our 2001 event ....

This past year we enjoyed many fine forums and exhibits, along with a
flea market of over 1000 tables, which included the following
manufacturers: Alinco, Ameritron, ICOM, MFJ, Mirage, Vectronics, and
Yaesu. We had both new and used dealers for radio equipment,
computers, electronics and general computer and electronic supplies.

Our 2001 attendance was over 5800.

And our plans for 2002 ....

The 2002 Fort Wayne Hamfest & Computer Expo will be open to the
public from 9 AM to 4 PM on Saturday November 16th, and from 9 AM
to 3 PM on Sunday, November 17. Admission is only $5.00 per person
(good for both days), and there is plenty of parking in a large, paved
parking lot, but please note that the Coliseum charges a $3.00 parking
fee. Children 11 and under are free with an adult.

We provide a FREE shuttle service with hourly runs to Smith Field (a
small airport on the north edge of Fort Wayne), and to Glenbrook Mall,
Indiana's largest indoor shopping center.

Our guest speaker will be FCC Special Counsel for
Amateur Radio Enforcement, Riley Hollingsworth.
On October 23rd we received word that Riley Hollingsworth
had to cancel due to an enforcement issue he will be working
that weekend.

We will once again be offering VE testing. See the Forums/VE test page
for details.

We offer 1/2 price tickets to any middle or high school club members. Just
have your club advisor or sponsor send us a written request on club or
school stationary in advance.

We have several forums each day, on many subjects relating to amateur
radio and electronics.

We will also be welcoming several representatives from the American
Radio Relay League.

And in the future ....

Mark your calendars for these future Fort Wayne Hamfest & Computer
Expo's:

2003: Nov 15-16 2004: Nov 13-14 2005: Nov 19-20
