Hey troops,

 

After some discussion with the steering committee, a rules note will be
added to state that "Due to the complexity of making a valid exchange,
contacts via FT4 and FT8 will not receive contest credit."

 

I know we can't make everyone happy with this.  Is it "possible" to exchange
real-time info that conforms to ILQP rules on FT4 or FT8?  Probably yes.  Do
I find those modes fascinating?  Yes.  Are they going to contribute anything
useful to the event?  I don't think so.  Spend your time on another digital
mode, CW or SSB.

 

Other suggestions as to entry categories are appreciated and considered.  At
some point, additional time in processing becomes a factor, and any new
plaque would require a sponsor.
