To reiterate a communication from 2 weeks ago regarding "legal lines"

"We recognize that any ruling regarding county corner operations will not
satisfy all parties. This statement is not meant to apply to any other QSO
party nor to any other awards program. The intention is to clear up
uncertainties regarding future ILQP operations only. We wish to retain the
nature of ILQP, preserve as much as possible historical information, allow
for reasonable flexibility and clarify rulings that may have arisen in the
past. There may be some minor changes from past opinions expressed by the
committee.

County line and corner operations. Maps do not all agree. It may be, in
many cases, physically impossible to determine the exact location of a
county line or corner. Pursuant to clarification, the following will apply
to ILQP operations by Rover and Portable entrants going forward:

If a contestant could lay out a 300 ft continuous string so it touched all
counties simultaneously, without crossing over any "wet lines", and operated
at any point along the string the operation would be considered as valid for
multi corner operation.
The purpose of this ruling is to allow operation without jeopardizing
operator safety nor the safety of the public.

"Wet lines/corners" are not permitted sites for ILQP. If you can't walk
across the county border in your Sunday shoes, it's a wet line and you can't
activate it.

This ruling does not comply with, for example, MARAC/USACA rules. An
operator may be solicited for confirmation of a county claimed for ILQP
purposes, and that operator's discretion will have to be exercised as to
whether or not operation from said county is confirmed. "

For the committee, N9JF

Subject: [ILQSO] County line map?

Looking at St. Clair, Monroe and Randolph Co. Where can I find a map showing
detail? I have google earth pro, but cant seem to find a setting for county
lines. What does the committee use to determine whether it's a legal line?
