[ILQSO] Portable Operation

From an ILQP standpoint, it is a big help when the mobile and rover stations ID with their county, especially on CW. That makes it easier for those following the mobiles from county to county to know when they can work you again and helps reduce dupes for the mobile station.

As far as portable stations, I think signing with your call/p is helpful as it lets others participating in the ILQP know that you will likely be giving more than one county in your exchange. Adding your counties to your call is probably going too far with as it creates a much longer ID process but it may work for some cases.

Most logging programs will show a station as a dupe when you log another entry with the same call sign without the /m /r or /p so it also helps the operator on the other end to remember to remember that.

Most of the experienced mobile and portable ops have learned what works best for their situation. Hopefully, several more will chime in.
