[ILQSO] 80m at the top and bottom of the hour

It's going to be important to realize that, with the current band conditions, "40 is the new 20". Forty is going to be long very early in the afternoon, and we should be checking 80 meters FROM THE BEGINNING. I anticipate having 80 meters on the car at the outset and trying that band in every county.

On another note, we MAY be coordinating a plan with mobiles and rovers so that each of those stations attempts to land on the same "number" from county to county to make them easier to find. More on that later.

If you have a way to get on 80m, I suggest trying 80 at the top and bottom of the hour around the bottom of the general band (3800 - 3850) during the IL QSO party.

A few of the mobiles got into routine on calling CQ at the top of the hour on 80m and I was very surprised at the amount of multipliers I picked up during the middle of the day during MOQSO party this year. You'd be surprised on how many stations you can hear with low band noise.

And...if your run rate is in the crapper, why not??? Might pick up that extra county multiplier that could win your category!!!
