[ILQSO] a word (or three) about log submissions

Howdy troops!
With ILQP only 3 days away, here are a couple of notes about log submissions. NO CHANGES!!
Most contest logging programs produce a Cabrillo file as an option when you are finished with the event. BEFORE THE CONTEST, please check your station settings to be sure the file will contain the QTH you sent and the QTH you received. Before sending your log, please glance at it to be sure the header information is correct and the exchanges all contain the required information. Note that there are high and low power categories this year for the first time. If you don't specify, you will be assumed to have been using high power.
For Illinois stations, please enter your LOCAL CLUB NAME if you want the club to get credit for your score. Society of Midwest Contesters, while a great group of people, is not a "local club". Many of us have that set as the default club name in the Cabrillo header, so be sure to change it if you desire.
Please, if possible, ATTACH your CABRILLO file to an e-mail to n9jf at arrl.net. If you log on paper or with a program that will not output a Cabrillo file, we WILL accept paper logs again. HOWEVER, you can help us tremendously (and prevent our mangling your log during transcription) by going to http://www.w9awe.org/ILQP2015.html and downloading the Excel template that will easily let you properly enter your log data into the format we need. (If you don't do it...we have to....but we are still willing if necessary....). It is not difficult, as evidenced by the fact that my 700-800 QSO mobile log has to be entered that way from paper after the fray. If I can do it..... If you have a logging file output that is not Cabrillo, send it and we will try to work with it. If we can't, we may return it for further efforts on your part. Don't give up easily; we don't. We want your log!
When you e-mail your log, you should get a return e-mail within 24 hours acknowledging receipt. We have no "robot" (I am the robot....). The acknowledgment simply means "we got it". We may need something more from you down the road. If you don't hear anything within a couple of days, e-mail me direct to see if I got it. For some reason, my spam filter catches a few logs each year.
We will periodically post a list of "Logs Received" on the above website.
That's all that occurs to me at the moment....
