[ILQSO] Busted Calls & QSOs

I totally agree with this. The contest ends at 0100z and qrz.com should not be consulted to find a county a station was in....ever.....if it were looked up to send a qsl to, great, but trying to fish info to fill a log is really bad!
The other part was response on the list. Jim is dead on in his response: busted call. Leave it there. We cant be giving not only buated call corrections, but county info out after the contest.
Just my 2 cents...

Subject: [ILQSO] Busted Calls & QSOs
Hi All:
I'm sorry I was unable to join in the fray this year. I had a prior commitment
as NCS for the Get Moving Tucson event here locally.
That being said, I am shocked to see the questions and answers going on in this
listserv regarding "information" on a clearly busted callsign! It is against
EVERY contest's rules, and I hope that KC9UNL will see it for what it is, and
prevent the NIL. The folks providing speculative answers are enabling this conduct.
Yes, I know, this is a QSO Party, not CQWW, but budding contesters need to know
to protect their reputation going forward. Please review the Contester's Code of
Ethics at the World-Wide Radio Operators Foundation for more information:
http://wwrof.org/contester-code-of-ethics/

Curt,
ND9FMB is NOT a valid US amateur call sign. The FCC does not issue 2x3
calls starting with A or N to the amateur radio service.
For further information see the "Call Sign Availability" section on the
following FCC web page:

I suspect you busted the call, it was most likely WD9FMB.
