[ILQSO] Map Question

I've been told, but I ain't no x-purt (and expert is defined by noting
"ex" means "has been" ans "spurt" is "A drip under pressure), that MARAC
allows one to be within 600' of the actual county line.

When I was in Illinois, back just after the Sp*rk Gap daze, at a four
county line (I think this was 2006 & 2007, though it might have been a
year later) I parked my station in a corn field each time (the corn had
been picked), about 200' from the actual corner. In both cases there
were power lines along one side of the road, and I stayed away from them
for RFI plus electrical protection.

I distinctly remember the wind during the first year - it was blowing so
hard we had to tie the tent down!! The temperature was in the low 40's,
but luckily I had brought a winter coat, else I'd have packed up and
gone back to the motel.

If I erred, would the organizers of these events strike my scores (N9Q)
from the records, please?

A 2 county line is pretty easy to straddle if you look for the line, a 3 or 4 county corner is much tougher to be exactly in all 3 or 4 at once. Many corners I have been to are in the middle of a road or a fencerow.

Counties seem to put them in the most convenient place, not on the exact line. I found one in WV over three hundred feet off. The ILQP rules committee should have a handle on this one. I bet Jim N9JF has the answer to this one....Tom N4RS
