Since the Sangamon Valley Radio Club (W9DUA) is not making an official
portable effort this year I will be joining the K9MCE group from
Macoupin County at the Macoupin/Green/Jersey location. Bob KC9HGW will
be there as well I believe.

Don't forget that Saturday is the Iowa QSO Party. If you need to check
out equipment it's a great opportunity.

Also... Saturday October 24th @ 9:00am there is a "No Host Ham Radio
Breakfast" in Springfield, IL. We will be meeting at the Golden Coral
for a buffet style breakfast. No agenda. Just an opportunity to get Hams
from the area together to swap stories, meet one another, etc. Please
join us if you are within striking distance of Springfield. A similar
event early this past Spring drew around 60 people.
