[ILQSO] Advice for QSO Party organizers?

I tend to agree with Bud, W9DY/m, in appreciating the 5NN as a nice time delay while one picks up the pencil or move their fingers to the keyboard. Nothing is lost except a second or two of time, and in a QSO party that is not really time lost. I see the 5NN like the header bytes in a packet of data - as a means to synchronize the ears and fingers to receive the really pertinent data like the county name - that delay has saved my bacon several times from having to ask for a repeat, as so often there is just a bit of QRM at the beginning that would otherwise obscure the useful bit if it wasn't for the 5NN. Similarly, the K, KN, TU, or BK at the end of one's exchange also presents a nice ending bit of helpful time delay to help the other person begin to transition for their part of the exchange (giving them time to put the pencil down or move their fingers to the pertinent key(s) on the keyboard).
