Maybe there should be two categories for single operator portable
operation vs Multi op portable operation? I can vouch for the fact that
single op is much more difficult to get set up and going than a multi op
situation. I've operated from a BROWn county, Ohio multi-multi
operation, during the Ohio QSO party. It's a lot less work and I get
considerably more internal enthusiasm from the camaraderie of the group
than when I'm by myself like I was in ILQP 2007. I was the solo
operator in ILQP 2006 ILQP, but Bruce, K9LOF, was a BIG help in setting
up and tearing down, and bringing hot coffee a couple time, so even with
the very lousy weather and near freezing conditions, the operation
seemed easier in 2006 than 2007.

Of course, you can fragment the categories down so fine that everyone
who enters can win a certificate! I personally think the ILQP gang does
a FB job in getting things organized! (That's an outsider's viewpoint,
of course!)

Similarly, among the 1- or 2- county operations, the highest score was by a single-county operation (K9OT) with a 2-county operation (K9ZA) finishing a distant 2nd. So, it looks like the 3 & 4 county operations are on parity with each other as are the 1 & 2 county operations.
