Do not forget the single-county stations, either.

After doing some superficial analysis of the 2007 portable category scores,
I sent an off-list suggestion to Jim, N9JF, proposing that the portable
category be split into 2 categories: 1- or 2- county operations in one
category, and 3- or 4- county operations in another.

Looking at the 2007 scores, the winner was a 4-county operation (N9FN), but
2nd place went to a 3-county operation (KN9T) that was only 1655 points
behind.  Similarly, among the 1- or 2- county operations, the highest score
was by a single-county operation (K9OT) with a 2-county operation (K9ZA)
finishing a distant 2nd.  So, it looks like the 3 & 4 county operations are
on parity with each other as are the 1 & 2 county operations.
