>From "ILQP FAQ":
"A: The traditional answer to this has been: "As close as possible,
keeping safety uppermost in mind." To claim three or four counties, the
operator should 1) As nearly as possible, locate the exact corner; 2)
Find a safe spot as close as possible to the corner to set up the
station; 3) Obtain permission from land-owners if at all possible; 4)
Arrange portions of the antenna system to be physically placed in all
three (or four) counties if possible."
Having said this, I know there are those who do not count more than 2
counties per contact and want to know EXACTLY where the station was
located, and I submit to their standards of accuracy and integrity.
ILQP rules in this case may not exactly conform to those of other
organizations or events.

Subject: [ILQSO] Proximity to County Borders
I apologize if this has been asked earlier, but is there any set "rule"
about how close to a county border/intersection you have to be? We know
where we think we'll end up, but just in case that spot doesn't work,
it'd
be nice to know how far we could venture from the intersection.
