[ILQSO] Counties to activate - my thoughts

Okay, anyone going to occupy the corner of Gallatin, White, Hamilton,
and Saline counties? It looks like there's a county road which takes
one to that corner. I think it's almost 500 miles from here, so I'd
hope I could find a willing property owner.
Jim: you said you've never been there, and I didn't get a response from
NY4N, so I have zilch info. The backup could be WMSN, SALI, JOHN, POPE,
which is only a few miles away, and you said the owner at the time you
parked there was very obliging.
I'm still thinking about it. 500 miles is a "fur piece!"
BTW, the reason that most operation during a QSO party is on CW is
because that's where one can make contacts from a portable/mobile
location. Mobiles to a great extent, portable to a lesser extent have a
distinct disadvantage in radiated power, and CW cuts through the garbage
a lot better. I now have a microphone, but on the Michigan QSO party I
made 90% of my QSO's on CW, the other 10% were to pick up multipliers.
