I'm in it for the experience and the fun. But still hope to get good rates going.

I guess, in a way, it [/p] is my way of marking my main log that I operated somewhere else away from my fixed QTH.

It won't matter if someone needs a paper QSL... /p or no /p... I will still QSL for the JODA QTH. Will only matter for uploading to LoTW and eQSL.

...which now reminds me... gotta make up some qsl's for the event... home-brew on the PC... maybe a shot of the scenery? Corn in the valley will be gone, but will still be a nice site with all the hills/trees. Hope to catch a sunset picture. If I have time that day before the contest, I will take the 4-wheeler up to the top of the hill (~1080 ft ASL) and check out things for field day next year.

I'll sleep on it... Easy enough to update my prerecorded CQ message for SSB.

Let's see how the log checker(s) respond to this question.

Thanks everyone...

I'm Corn Whiskey diehard, but any of the things listed will be okay.
I'll try to get on SSB, but my efforts will primarily be with Corn
Whiskey. On Phone (when I get to the phone bands, I'll say something

is a compleat idiot when it comes to antenna theory and practice, so
I've never found a /8 ID to be useful. It just takes up more time in
the keying circuitry.
