My take on the suggested frequencies, at least 20 and 40 meters, is that
almost no one calls CQ right on those frequencies. Almost all SSB activity
is lower down the band but mostly still in the General portion. I don't
think too much effort has been put forth to use the "suggested" frequencies
and it seems to have been fine like that. It also seems like the last year
or 2, RAMS did not list suggested frequencies but somehow we tucked them
back in.
