Hi Hank,

During this last Summer's Field Day Event, I went out to the site to check out some of the setups of other hams in the area. I couldn't participate due to work obligations. One of the guys there had a laptop he was using, and had an attachment that I'd never seen before to help cut down or eliminate glare. I checked online and found the item he was using, it can be seen at the address below. It's called a Hoodman E-2000 Hood for laptops with 10-12" monitors. If there's another size you need I'm sure the company could get info for you. B&H Photo has been around for years, I've dealt with them and seem very much on the up and up. If you prefer not to deal with an online company I'm sure if you find a local photography store they could assist you in finding one. Looking at the picture on that page, the opening will be the side facing to your right. The hood slips over the monitor, there's a slit in the bottom of the end that faces your left. Then you view the monitor through the opening on your right. Hope this might help with the glare problem.
