[ILQSO] activity
Focusing for the moment on the last issue, I would like to pose this =
question to anyone who has participated or might consider participating =
in a state QSO party as a mobile:
What helps determine whether or not you put out the effort to =
participate as a mobile in a particular state's party? Please rank the =
following, with number 1 being highest priority, and PLEASE ADD OTHER =
CHOICES!!!
__1 Loyalty to a state, club or individuals participating=20
I always ejoyed giving out counties in my own state. I also started to =
participate in othe state QSO parties as a way of thanking ops in those =
states for their support of IQP. I enjoy the cameraderie with all of the =
various IQP rgulars. Its fun running into a familiar call
_5_ Likelihood of winning a category=20
My work scheduile keeps me from making long trips, so im stuck running =
the same few counties in NW Il.. I wish there was a category for us lil =
guys who cant run 12 counties or more. My little circle allows for 6 or =
7 counties at the max.
__3 Tangible rewards provided by sponsor (trophies, plaques, =
certificates, other)=20
Since not everybody can be Number one, I like how the first ten fixed =
and the first 5 mobiles get certiificates. It shows appreciation. to a =
broader base of people for their participation. In the Wisconsin QSO =
party, for example, only first place mobile gets a certificate. Maybe =
I'm wrong, but I think any one who goes mobile should get something. for =
getting your kidneys and other body parts rattled as if in a Mix-Master =
for 8 hours or more.
__4 Tangible rewards available based on level of achievement =
(T-shirts, coffee mugs that can be purchased)=20
__2_ Convenient and enjoyable way to spend part of a weekend=20
_8__ Length of contest=20
___7 Rules format=20
With the bottom part of the sunspot cycle approaching, It may be a =
moot point, but under the current IQP rules, there's little incentive to =
work DX past the 5 mults allowed
_6 Opportunity to try out my mobile/portable station and test my =
skills=20
___ OTHER: **Please list and be specific!!**=20
Keep up the great work.
Am anxiously waiting for thesults from last years IQP
