Hi Jim,
Here are my results. Any ideas as to when scores will
be out for the ILQSO party?

I believe that the ILQSO party has the best rules of
any state QSO party that I have participated in. I
really like the idea of 3 and 4 county line operation,
as it makes you search out those rare intersections,
and allows you to operate from a location you might
not otherwise pick. The multiple QSO credit also
makes this a very attractive incentive. I also like
the short format, perfect in that it allows you
saturday to relax, or to get to your starting
location.
This weekend we have the Oklahoma QSO party. In my
opinion, this contest has some of the worst rules that
I have seen for a state QSO party, and I am hoping
that they plan to fix them. My biggest complaint is
that as an Oklahoma station, the only multipliers I
get are states, provinces, and DX. OK counties are
not a multipier for me! OK counties only count as
multipliers for outside of OK stations. So once I
work an OK station, I have no further incentive to
keep chasing mobiles around. They give me an extra
QSO credit, but that is it. IT would be better for me
to stay on a single frequency and run stations.
Plus, suppose that I hear two stations come back to
me-a /M and a non-5 station. I will answer the non-5
because he might be a new multipier. I would know that
the /m is not a new multiplier. I have never seen
another QSO party with rules like this.
Keep up the good job on the contest, and hope to see
some of you in the OK QSO party this weekend.
