Scott,

Check out one of the Illinois welcome centers, they usually have a good
supply of maps. The 2003-2004 maps have been released and there is even a
large print version for the visually challenged or old farts.

CU on the road!

Hi Jim and all.

Me (NE9U) and partner (N9BCA) are tossing around the idea of driving down
and running mobile in the ILQP. We have been mobiling in
the WQP past decade and always have fun!

First I need to get a good Illinois map. Since we will be driving down from
central Wisconsin, we would probably start near the
border. Are NW counties usually covered by operations pretty good? Any
places you would want us to cover?

I also see Illinois allows county line operations. After we tried that
several years ago, WQP outlawed it. We call it the NE9U
rule. hi
How do you guys handle the exchange? Have to make 3 separate qso's, or just
one qso with multiple multipliers?

And last but not least, logging software? What do most mobiles do? I
usually use TR in WQP but dont see a .dom file for illinois.
 Is there one?

Thanks for any help, and hopefully we will be down your way to experience
the southern blackhole..its gotta be better than up here
in the northwoods!

73,

Scott NE9U
