Well Steve it is too bad you aren't interested in this thread. But issues
such as this one do need discussion. Contestants are trying to maximize
their score, not only for themselves but for their affiliated club. And when
you have a contest that allows operating from county lines without verbiage
in the rules specifying the allowable distance from a county line folks are
going to look for loopholes and ask questions. As it was pointed out a
couple of years ago on this reflector, you could operate the ILQP and not
even be in the state. For example there are many places in Wisconsin that
allow you to get near an Illinois county line while not physically being in
the state.
This discussion and the thread about the three letter state abbreviations
begin to point out that the sponsoring club may be wise to review and
possibly amend or change the rules for 2003.
