Jeff,
The standard reply we give to this question is:
1) Safety is the first priority. Don't endanger yourself or others
just to straddle the county line.
2) Don't trespass onto private property to be near a county line.
3) You can consider yourself at the border if you're within 100 yards
of it. And of course, you need to be *in* Illinois -- not 100 yards
across the state line.
While not everyone agrees with this, it is what we do for ILQP for
just eight hours out of an entire year. :-)
You'll make a lot of people happy if you put those 4 counties on the
air, Jeff. Hope to hear you in the contest.
